Matt grew up in Glenwood, IA and eventually married his high school sweetheart Mallory. Both Matt and Mallory quit their jobs and moved from Omaha in 2021 to Ankeny for Matt to start The HomeLife Brothers with Ryan. They have two sons Dean and Lane and two dogs Opie and Scout which means they are a busy family!!! Matt graduated with a BA in Finance from Wayne State College, spent several years in the banking industry before leaving the office for the construction industry. Matt's passion in the business is taking an idea and building it into something he can be proud of.
Ryan was born and raised on the family farm in Mt Vernon, Ia. After College in Iowa City, Ryan moved to Des Moines in 2006 as a manager for Sears where he spent 12 years. He then began working as a Paramedic/Firefighter, working side jobs and later full time into construction. Ryan lives in Urbandale with his wife Dani and son Kenson. Ryan's love of remodeling houses started as a hobby fixing his own houses up. It now extends into helping friends on the weekends, working in The HomeLife Brothers, and can be found at or hosting most Real Estate Investing groups around the State.
